High-speed screw jacks in basic version
In the basic version, the output bevel gear is connected to a trapezoidal thread nut (optionally also with a ball screw nut). The nut, when rotated, exerts an axial force on the spindle.
High-speed screw jacks allow for higher lifting speeds than conventional actuators. This is enabled by low reduction in the gear, robust construction, optimized lubrication conditions, variable thread pitches, and permissible input speeds of up to 3000 rpm.
These standard sizes are available:
✔ KH090 up to 15kN load
✔ KH140 up to 40kN load
✔ KH230 up to 90kN load
Achievable gear ratios are 1:1, 2:1, and 3:1. With gear ratios of 2:1 and 3:1, up to three additional output pinions can be mounted.
High-speed screw jack in travelling nut version
In the travelling nut version, the output bevel gear is positively connected to the threaded spindle, transmitting the rotary motion. As a result, the rotating threaded spindle imparts linear motion to the travelling nut.
High-speed screw jacks allow for higher stroke speeds than conventional screw jacks. This is made possible by low reduction in the gear, robust construction, optimized lubrication conditions, variable thread pitches, and permissible input speeds of up to 3000 rpm.

✔ KH140 up to 40kN load

Unbeatable Advantages of a High-speed Screw Jack from GROB
Maximum Performance
Due to the fact that the bevel gear sets are made of case-hardened steel and feature high-quality spiral gearing with a very favorable engagement profile, even under high loads, smooth operation and precision are ensured. As a result, the high-speed screw jack delivers balanced performance.
Increased Efficiency
The overall efficiency of the GROB high-speed screw jack is approximately 85% with ball screw spindles. The high efficiency in the gear system reduces heat dissipation, allowing for continuous operation at 100% capacity in a 3-shift operation.
Short Cycle Time
The bevel gear transmission can be equipped with gear ratios from 1:1 to 3:1. Combined with ball screw spindles and their pitches, lifting speeds of over 300mm/s are easily achievable.

FAQs about High-speed Screw Jacks
What are the main/general differences between cubic, classic, HMC, KH?
- Cubic & Classic: primarily external differences. A matter of personal preference regarding which one is preferred. Performance data is nearly identical.
- HMC: Standard up to 3000 rpm input speed, with oil filling and cooling fins - explicitly higher dynamic load capacity.
- KH: explicitly high dynamic capability, but load capacity decreases to a maximum of 90 kN.
What's a high-speed screw jack?
A high-speed screw jack is a mechanical device that enables fast and precise linear motion. It is often used in applications with short strokes and high speeds.
What distinguishes the speed of high-speed actuators?
High-speed actuators are renowned for their rapid speed and ability to perform quick linear movements with short strokes, making them ideal for specific industrial applications.
Which applications benefit from high-speed actuators?
They are utilized in areas such as automation technology, packaging industry, and production lines where fast and precise movements are necessary.
How is the maintenance of high-speed actuators performed?
